A park does not need to look traditional or familiar, especially when it is overlaid on a once heavily industrial site. Trespass takes people to a right place by making them think they are going to the wrong place, but showing them that it is safe and fun to go there. Visitors are rewarded for taking the unfamiliar journey under the highway with arrival to a ferry dock or to concert venues inside fuel tanks, and in either case to an unexpected yet meaningful cultural landscape.
